The Virology and Viral Diseases course, developed within the framework of the Colors of Biotechnology project, is a virtual training program. Through dynamic online sessions, interactive materials, and multimedia resources, participants will explore the main concepts of virology, including the structure of viruses, their replication, transmission mechanisms, and their relationship with diseases that impact human, animal, and plant health.

Current topics such as epidemics, vaccines, antiviral therapies, and biotechnological applications will also be addressed, all from a comprehensive One Health perspective, which recognizes the interconnectedness between the health of people, animals, and ecosystems. This approach allows participants to understand virology not only as a biomedical discipline, but also as a key tool for preventing future pandemics and promoting sustainable global health.
