IEEE Silchar Subsection Student Summer Internship Program - 2025 (IS3IP-2025)

The IEEE Silchar Subsection is pleased to announce the  “Student Summer Internship Program 2025”, preferably after completion of the 6th semester in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Management Background.  

●        The internship is for 6-8 weeks, starting from June 1, 2025, to July 31, 2025, in an online mode.

●        Upon completion of the internship, students will receive the INTERNSHIP COMPLETION CERTIFICATE from the IEEE Silchar Subsection.

●        No scholarship/ fellowship will be provided for this internship.

Broad Areas of Internship Program:

Internship projects will be provided within the following broad areas of:

●        CSE

●        ECE

●        ME

●        CE

●        EE

●        E&I

●        Others

Eligibility for Summer Internship Programme:

1.      Students should have completed of 6th Semester UG Students of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Management Background. 

2.      Students must be IEEE Student members. 

3.      Non-IEEE student members may take advantage of this internship by paying a sum of Rs. 1200/-, which will be reimbursed to them on acquiring IEEE student membership.

4.      Students should undertake the internship preferably as a group with a maximum group size of 4 members.

5.      Students should submit their internship request letter endorsed/signed preferably by their HODs or Faculty advisors. Format is given in the following link

6.    Applicants should have  CPI/CGP 7 or 70%.

7.      No accommodation will be provided to intern students.

Requirement for issue of certificates:

1.      Attendance during the internship must be more than 75% of the total number of online interactions.

2.      The Student/Student Team should submit an Internship Completion Report within the stipulated deadline 20^th August.

3.      The Student/Student Team should submit an Internship Completion Report from the mentor.

Selection procedure:

(i)  Valid CPI/CGP

(ii) Valid consent from the HoD of the respective institute

(iii) Consent from a mentor/supervisor from the members of IEEE Silchar Subsection. 

Important dates:

●     Call for Internship: May 03, 2025

●     Last date of application: May 15, 2025 (11:59 PM IST)

●     Information regarding acceptance of Summer Internship: May 20, 2025

Note:

(i) Non-IEEE members of Silchar Subsection can take students under this internship jointly with an IEEE member.

(ii) The maximum number of groups will be restricted to five for each member.
