Intensive course Uni Bremen - ENES Morelia UNAM “Introduction to air pollution events and atmospheric data processing for sustainable environmental applications"
A joint intensive course as part of the close cooperation between Universität Bremen, Germany, and ENES Morelia, UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico), jointly with ITM IEEE EDS Student Branch and CBTis 94, Patzcuaro.
This initiative aims to foster collaboration within the framework of the Bremen-Mexican Network for the Development of Sustainable Technology and Environmental Applications, and to strengthen connections in the Centro Occidente Section with Mexico and Latin America, within the Electron Devices Society (EDS).

20 hour-course
You will learn an introduction to:
- Physics, chemistry and biogeochemistry of atmosphere.
- Remote Sensing: Spectrometry, detectors, etc. (Dobson, Brewer, DOAS)-Satellite measurements (TOMS, BUV, SBUV, GOME, SCIAMACHY, GeoSCIA, etc.) and validations.
- Processing of data (atmospheric station ENES Morelia) to identify pollution events in the region.
- Discussion on regional necessities and alternatives to foster the development of sustainable sensors.
